Position Overview In this role you would be responsible for estimating and bid proposal generation for precast projects with a primary focus on meeting or exceeding customer deadline, specification, scheduling, and funding parameters.
Responsibilities
Complete take-offs and quotes for all RFQ’s brought in by contractors and individual customers.
Review and analyze drawings, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare cost and labor estimates for products, projects, or services.
Work with Supply Chain to establish a supplier network that provides high quality products at competitive prices.
Develop and maintain close working relationships with associated departments (i.e., Engineering, Production and Sales, etc.)
Generate subcontractor and/or vendor submittals to comply with project specifications, including engineering shop drawings and project schedule.
Implement strategic market activities, locally and regionally, to maximize sales and gross profit for Vanhooseco infrastructure products.
Meet with customers to discuss evolving needs, assess the quality of our company relationship, and seek new opportunities with prospective customers.
Coordinate with production planner to ensure production schedule is met and deliveries are accomplished within customer timeline.
Provide accurate monthly reporting, including tracking and analyzing sales statistics based on key quantitative metrics.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
3+ years of recent construction and/or bidding experience.
Experience with SAP, Titan or other CRM software a plus.
Skills & Abilities
Experience estimating projects from initial contact to final purchase order acceptance.
Experience preparing bid packages, completing bid documents, and generating customer quotes.
Experience with contract and specification review and NPCA code for precast products.
Mathematically inclined, spreadsheet savvy, detail-oriented; strong time‑management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and technical aptitude.
Ability to prioritize deadlines for multiple jobs; maintain open communication with customers, management and sales team associates.
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work in a fast‑paced and team environment.
Customer focus, teamwork, informing, drive for results, ethics and values, integrity & trust, composure.
