Responsibilities
Identify individual needs through in‑person contact with individuals, families, guardians, and significant others.
Ensure individuals understand their rights to confidentiality and the limits of confidentiality.
Explain to individuals their rights as recipients of mental health services, including informed consent and the risks and benefits of treatment.
Engage in case management activities such as intake, assessment, service plan development, linking and coordination of services, service advocacy, and monitoring and evaluation services.
Assist individuals in the Individual Support Planning process and identification of unmet needs.
Participate in crisis intervention services with individuals.
Provide supportive counseling or problem‑solving activities to assist individuals in developing and maintaining the supports necessary to manage their illness.
Complete and ensure the maintenance of all required clinical and administrative documentation.
Represent the agency in coordinating service plans with other community providers.
Participate in, and lead as necessary, individual‑centered interdisciplinary treatment teams.
Schedule and lead case reviews in accordance with clinical policies.
Participate in a unit team and provide team coverage.
AWARE RNs earn $40.00 per hour.
Requirements
AA/BS Nursing Degree; active RN license in Montana; one year of relevant work experience and one year of supervisory/management experience.
Knowledge of psychiatric nursing service models and competence in psychiatric assessment and treatment of behavioral and affective disorders.
Valid Montana Driver’s License with clean driving record.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to exercise independent judgment, tact, patience, and understanding while maintaining effective working relationships with clients, staff, and the community.
Commitment to working toward securing any additional professional licenses or certifications required by state and federal governing boards.
