About The Unit
Our Ludington Hospital OB unit is an 8‑bed unit that received recent renovations in 2019 to improve hall layout. The unit has 3 labor and delivery rooms and 5 postpartum rooms. We are known for excellent antepartum, labor and delivery, and postpartum care. Our team includes 13‑15 RNs and 2 resource nurse techs.

Scope of Work
Delivers nursing care responsibly and accountably as described professionally by the American Nurses Association (ANA) and legally by the State of Michigan. Demonstrates competency through the critical thinking model of the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Upholds the ANA’s standards of professional performance, including ethical practice, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence‑based practice and research, quality of practice, professional practice evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health. Strives to achieve optimal outcomes.
Qualifications
Associate in Nursing required
Bachelor in Nursing required within 5 years
MI Registered Nurse (RN) required
AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 90 days
AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required within 6 months
