As the Controller, you will play a crucial role in building and supporting the financial future of our company. We are seeking a versatile controller leader responsible for high-quality accounting practices, compliance and cash management strategies. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves to manage day-to-day accounting operations while also identifying and implementing improvements in our systems and processes.

Our solutions allow dispatchers and first responders to transfer non-emergency callers from 911 to virtual care instead of dispatching valuable, emergency resources.
Description
Accounting & Treasury Operations:
Oversee and execute day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
Monitor and manage cash flow, working capital, and treasury functions.
Manage functions including tax, compliance & reporting, payroll & benefits, AP & AR, and other similar responsibilities.
Implement and maintain internal controls, ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
Lead preparation for external audits and ensure timely completion of audit deliverables.
Monitor and manage cash flow, working capital, and treasury functions.
Provide oversight and coaching to the bookkeeper to ensure precision, timeliness, and continuous improvement in all accounting activities.
Financial Systems and Processes:
Design, implement, and maintain efficient financial systems and processes to optimize operations, reporting, and planning.
Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure seamless integration of financial systems with other business systems.
Policy and Cross Functional Management:
Develop and implement policies as needed throughout the organization to ensure clear, consistent expectations and execution of key processes.
Provide insightful financial reports and analysis to support strategic decision-making while identifying trends, opportunities, and risks as appropriate.

Experienced controller with expertise in accounting, reporting, and treasury management.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills which can be applied directly within finance and cross-functionally to help advance business outcomes.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy while driving results quickly. Comfort driving progress over perfection and excellent judgement for when perfection is truly needed.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including managing and communicating up, down, and laterally.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
CPA, degree in Accounting and MBA, or commensurate experience.
5+ years of experience in accounting and finance, preferably in the healthcare industry with demonstrated progression of responsibility.
Strong understanding of GAAP and other relevant accounting standards.
Deep expertise of revenue recognition standards for software and services.
Bonus:
Experience with startup or healthcare technology companies.
Experience with fundraising and capital raising activities.
Ability to work a schedule compatible with an east coast team.
