Salary Range: $77,180.00 – $102,900.00

Role Overview Provide leadership, management, and coordination for Haynes' Quality Assurance System. Lead all QA & QE functions, maintain quality accreditations, and support continuous improvement programs.

Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate all aspects of Haynes’ Quality Assurance, Quality Engineering, NDE, Inspection, and Calibrations Systems.

Direct QA and QE functions to achieve ISO 9001/AS 9100 and customer‑specific requirements.

Develop and execute annual support plans, provide operational and strategic input to the Director of Quality Systems and Manufacturing Engineering.

Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering Manager and Production Management to develop effective process/quality control and improvement programs.

Fulfill responsibilities of the Quality Assurance Management Representative, maintaining all existing accreditations and obtaining new ones.

Plan and manage backup operations, succession planning, and training for key quality roles.

Maintain current revisions of the Quality Manual, controlled documentation, and publish regular reports.

Monitor fiscal year budgets and support corporate commitments.

Develop and deliver training plans for all Haynes employees related to QA, manufacturing, metallurgy, and compliance.

Lead continuous improvement of Calibrations, NDT, QA, and QE processes.

Manage internal auditing, non‑conformance, corrective action, and RMN systems.

Provide third‑party auditing support for Arcadia and Haynes Wire.

Review specifications, test release criteria, and support QTC system development.

Ensure Inspection Department personnel receive proper training and follow SOP.

Maintain scrap and rework summaries and contribute to the Monthly Quality System Update Report.

Qualifications

Education:

B.S. or M.S. (R) in Metallurgy, Materials Science, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering; other degrees considered with experience.

Experience:

5+ years with B.S. in Engineering or 3+ years with M.S. (R); experience in manufacturing and/or quality assurance, preferably aerospace metallic materials.

Knowledge:

QA/QE systems and ISO 9000 & AS 9100 requirements, auditing, AMS, ASTM, ASME, SPC (R); knowledge of thermo‑mechanical and melting processing of Ni‑ and Co‑based alloys (P); manufacturing processes for Haynes wrought products (P).

Skills:

Leadership and management, project planning, technical communication, analytical skills (R); computer skills: MS Office, Minitab, AX, Shopfloor (P).

Adhere to corporate policies and ensure compliance.

Quality:

Ensure compliance of QA, QE, NDE, Inspection, and Calibration plans.

Delivery:

Set expectations for safety, quality, delivery, and cost; communicate progress.

Cost/Stewardship:

Plan, lead, and monitor QS and manufacturing projects; report status to senior management.
