Overview ProSearch is looking for a Product Manager Data Analytics (PMDA) to join our growing Product team. As a Product Manager for Data Analytics, you will be the link between the business and the data professionals, defining complex data-related requirements that bring strategic insights. You are both business savvy and analytics proficient—able to frame a problem, shape a solution, and champion change. The PM, working in Agile Scrum environment, is focused on long- and short-term vision of our data analytics products, harmonizing stakeholders’ and customers' interests with IT delivery; prioritizing the request backlog and translating requirements into user stories; writing (Story Level) Acceptance Criteria and business value scoring and success metrics. The PM will also assist the Data Governance Coordinator in ensuring that the company follows good Data governance practices. As such, we are looking for a roll-up-the-sleeves person who can operate both tactically to define user stories/requirements and lead sprint planning, as well as strategically, bringing to life how existing and new products fit into the overall business strategy.
About the Role The PM will act as a data product evangelist to build awareness and drive a step change in how our company and our clients use data and analytics to make decisions.
Responsibilities
The PM will work closely with product, business and engineering teams to define data and analytics products, build business cases and develop data driven applications.
The PM will prioritize, develop and communicate the product roadmap and delivery timelines to the organization.
The PM will be responsible for creating and grooming a backlog of well-formed stories for implementation by the product’s scrum team.
The PM will identify, define, prioritize and elevate the relevant topics/risks to the team through gathering, analyzing, synthesizing, and presenting information/data from the cross-functional team to inform sound business decisions while ensuring progress towards the company’s Data Governance goals.
The PM acts as the subject-matter expert for solutions owned by the team, managing and communicating trade-off decisions between scope (value in expected ROI) and schedule (higher operating expense in longer release cycles).
The PM will assist in assessing competitors in different markets and conducting appropriate business planning.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree, Masters is a plus.
5+ years as a Product Manager, ideally in data & analytics including data science, advanced analytics, data analysis, AI/ML-driven platforms, visualization, storytelling, and data technologies.
Experience working in a data-centric business environment.
Strong communication skills and an ability to break down complex information into relevant and digestible points for both colleagues and executives.
An excellent ability to identify sources of value from data analytics across core business domains and to define paths realizing that value.
Agile Product Owner and Product Management experience with several years of experience working in a highly agile (Kanban, Scrum, XP) environment influencing key stakeholders for buy in on business priorities with ability to say 'No' and have folks like it.
Proven problem-solving ability and able to make trade-off decisions between possible and desirable, which requires a good sense of technical feasibility.
Ability to analyze complex business processes and identify efficiency opportunities and/or solutions to resolve process gaps or related business challenges.
Negotiation, math, analytical, problem solving, decision making, and deductive reasoning skills applied under time sensitive conditions while operating with limited or ambiguous information.
Ability to communicate (written and verbal) effectively with all areas of the company as this role will have visibility and interaction with the most senior leaders.
Take an active ownership and interest in sharing knowledge that will help the team provide deliverables through mentoring and coaching.
Experience in the following areas is highly valued: eDiscovery, Master Data Management (MDM) and Data Governance (DG).
Hands-on experience with GenAI or AI/ML-enabled products is highly valued.
Self-educate on forward thinking industry trends within eDiscovery, MDM and DG, and AI/ML.
Ability to build strong relationships across functions and bring people together towards a common goal.
Strong organizational skills with a good sense of judgement to prioritize what needs to get done.
