Schedule / Hours Sunday – Thursday 5:30 pm – 3:00 am

Summary of Functions The Maintenance Supervisor will assist in supervising the maintenance department under the direction of the Maintenance Manager, and may also perform tasks typically assigned to a Maintenance Technician.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Ensures compliance with company safety standards and state/federal regulations, including GMP.

Supervises Maintenance Technicians.

Assists the Maintenance Manager in developing and implementing maintenance training modules for sanitary dairy equipment.

Assigns maintenance personnel to tasks based on skills.

Monitors progress of maintenance personnel on assigned tasks and reports deviations.

Supports development and improvement of food‑safety related systems.

Maintains and repairs all production equipment (pumps, pasteurizers, evaporators, dryers, valves, packaging equipment, etc.).

Maintains and repairs all support equipment (boilers, air compressors, glycol chillers, HVAC systems, condensers, vacuum pumps, wastewater meters, conductivity meters, water meters, etc.).

Oversees handling of chemicals for support equipment operation and performs chemical testing.

Oversees fabrication and manufacturing of equipment for production needs (product & process piping, sanitary equipment, steam lines, chemical lines, pneumatic lines, etc.).

Maintains drawings, programs, and technical documentation to keep plant records current.

Reviews and schedules work orders and activity reports daily.

Supervises and trains staff to ensure timely and proper work completion.

Reports any damage, irregular activity, or unsafe conditions to the Manager.

Follows established programs, policies, and practices to produce safe, quality food products.

Maintains company tools.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Acts as backup for the Maintenance Manager.

Participates on the Food Safety Team and Food Quality Team.

Education and/or Experience

High School diploma or GED required.

College‑level verbal and written communication skills.

Minimum three years of maintenance department management or supervision, preferably in a dairy processing environment.

Minimum seven years of experience in a production maintenance role involving electronics, instrumentation, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, and food or dairy processes and equipment.
