Teardown Engineer
to support our
Product Analysis & Teardown Lab
located in
Berkeley, MO . This position will focus on supporting the Enterprise Technology Office of the Boeing Technology Innovation business organization. Position Responsibilities
Lead or participate in physical part teardown, analysis, and cost modeling. Engage with leaders, stakeholders, peers, and partners to develop collaborative plans and execute on teardown campaigns and associated projects. Apply an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop, and verify a lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions. Evaluate customer and operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters, and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces. Perform various analyses to optimize systems and/or system architecture. Perform analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance and other specialty quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success. Basic Qualifications
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science. Experience with optimal cost and how it enables programs to meet their affordability goals. Work schedule flexibility to support international team members. Experience working with McKinsey Cleansheet cost modeling software. Preferred Qualifications
Experience in one or more of the following areas: structures, systems, interiors, manufacturing, avionics. Cross functional experience working with global partners. Experience with systems engineering; understanding the cost & design trades and current Boeing efforts in design practices, model-based engineering, and the digital thread. Demonstrated ability to plan, lead and oversee multiple projects and meet associated deliverable deadlines within assigned budget.
