Nationwide - Warranty and Commissioning Construction Manager
Join EPC Services as a fully‑remote, exempt Warranty & Commissioning Construction Manager. Applicants must reside near a major airport and be willing to travel ~80% of the time.
This traveling Construction Manager will oversee subcontractor activities, material receiving, and field response on electrical substation, transmission line, and renewable energy projects across the U.S. The role provides 24‑hour support for warranty emergencies, troubleshooting client claims, field repairs, commissioning activities, client training, and relationship management.
Responsibilities
Provide direct supervision of all subcontractor activities and material receiving on projects.
Respond 24‑hour to warranty emergencies and troubleshoot client claims.
Support field testing of electrical apparatus, protective relays, and functional verification of control, protection, and alarm circuits.
Collaborate with project managers on safety, quality control/assurance, on‑site reporting, environmental compliance inspections, and training.
Advise on general installation practices, inspection processes, and client training.
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of experience in transmission line and/or substation construction.
Comprehensive knowledge of substation, transmission, and distribution systems and ability to explain component functions.
Thorough understanding of project design documents, plans, vendor drawings, installation details, and specifications.
Holding a Switching certification or prior experience; OSHA 30 and NFPA 70E.
Successful applicants must not require sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H‑1B) now or in the future.
