Job Description
Fenagh Engineering and Testing is seeking a CWI Inspector with NDT to perform inspections for the shop/field. To include the following: audits, inspecting structural steel fabrication and erection, material identification, welding to include joint fit-up, in-process welding, completed welding, MT & UT as required by code, and high-strength bolting inspections. Ideally this candidate will be an AWS CWI with either their Level I or Level II UT/MT certification from an ASNT Level III. Evaluation from our Level III for both UT (shear wave)/MT will be conducted upon hiring. The position will be supporting clients in the Los Angeles area. ICC / CWI / NDT – MT & UT Level II
General Responsibilities
Perform observation and inspection in the shop & field. Collect MTR's for heat numbers and tracking. VT on members in progress. UT CJP's as needed. MT Fillet Welds as needed. High-strength bolting inspections & tests. Compile daily reports outlining inspections and reporting deficiencies (if any). Read and understand specific project plans and specifications. Communicate with project team regarding project requirements and inspection results. Requirements
AWS CWI Certification Level I or Level II UT (Shear wave). Level I or Level II MT. ICC Structural Steel & Bolting. Minimum 5 years of experience. High School Diploma or equivalent. General computer knowledge (Excel, Word, PDF). Able to travel to various locations.
