CNC Set Up Vertical Mill Machinist – Day Shift
Join ARCH. We’re looking for motivated and skilled Machinists to join our team. If you have 2+ years of experience setting up a CNC Vertical Mill, this could be your next career. Day shift. $2000 sign‑on bonus.
Pay Range: $25+, depending on experience. Medical, Dental & Vision effective day one. Competitive 401(k) with employer match and other benefits.
Summary Produces machined parts by setting up, programming, and operating a Mill computer numerical control (CNC) machine; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; and maintaining equipment.
Primary Responsibilities
Set up parts in CNC machines without assistance or supervision
Change tools, adjust heights and tool comps to maintain required quality output of machine
Inspect products during the machining operation to determine if parts meet specifications
Follow all job work order instructions
Run more than one machine where cycle time permitsComplete all required shop floor documentation for the job, including part dimensional and visual inspection
Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; troubleshoot malfunctions; report need for machine repairs
Understand and comply with company policy safety guidelines, quality systems requirements and housekeeping standards
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Minimum of 2 years’ experience setting up CNC Mill machine tools
Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident, due to contractual requirements
Preferred Qualifications
Experience editing CNC machine programs and writing basic programs
Ability to read and understand blueprints including GD&T tolerancing
Strong math background
Demonstrated problem solving abilityStrong attention to detail
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Physical Demands and Work Environment Continuous mental and visual attention required. Ability to stand for a shift, sit, talk, and hear. Lifting up to 40 pounds required. Exposure to manufacturing areas where temperature may vary; personal protective equipment required.
