Overview
Senior Geotechnical Engineer (Ph.D. or M.S.) – Bellevue, WA. In this role you will work as part of a team responsible for the inspection, analysis, and evaluation of geotechnical systems (e.g., foundations, retaining walls, excavation support systems, levees, dams, slopes, etc.) and frequently the preparation of repair/mitigation concepts. Responsibilities
Conducting field inspections and subsurface explorations Performing geotechnical and civil engineering analyses Assisting with peer review of the design and construction of geotechnical systems Preparing conceptual designs for the repair/restoration of damaged geotechnical systems Qualifications
Ph.D. in Civil Engineering specializing in Geotechnical Engineering from an accredited university + 3 years of post-graduate experience Alternatively, the candidate may have an M.S. in Civil Engineering specializing in Geotechnical Engineering from an accredited university + a minimum of 5 years of experience P.E. License in at least one state is required Degrees, experience or related coursework in Geology/Geological Engineering, Groundwater/Surface Water Hydrology or Structural Engineering is a strong plus Strong analytical and critical thinking skills and potential to develop successful client relations Attention to detail, dedication to quality and accuracy, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and effective leadership skills Ability to work independently or support multiple group projects and to interact with other engineers, administrative staff, and clients Ability to gather information from field investigations, document reviews, and interviews and to synthesize and convey technical conclusions Knowledge of geotechnical modeling software, graphing software, GIS, and imaging software is a strong plus Applicants are encouraged to submit a CV with publications About Exponent

Base salary and total compensation reflect experience and capabilities and may include bonuses. The base salary range for this position is USD $110,000.00 – USD $135,000.00 per year. Job Locations
