Personal Financial Counselor – Casper, WY

Job Overview Provide comprehensive financial counseling and management services to service members and families, including briefings, presentations, and referrals. Coordinate with installation points of contact to ensure services align with needs.
Responsibilities
Deliver personal financial counseling, including one‑on‑one sessions and group workshops across the military lifecycle.
Assist service members in developing spending plans for extended absences.
Create and distribute informational financial materials for members and families.
Publicize and conduct personal financial management classes and workshops.
Respond to requests for age‑appropriate classes or seminars.
Use virtual counseling or other electronic communication methods where authorized.
Manage duty‑to‑warn situations per DoD protocol.
Communicate with leadership and participate in regular supervision and training.
Participate in quality‑improvement committees and other contract activities as assigned.
Perform other duties as assigned contributing to program effectiveness.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required (associate degree + 4 years experience or high school diploma + 6 years experience considered).
Minimum 3+ years of financial counseling experience.
U.S. citizen and fluent in English (bilingual English/Spanish possible if contract requires).
Tier 2 investigation and OCI process clearance.
Certifications: Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).
Valid driver’s license and willing to travel within a military installation as needed.
Minimum Education High School / GED.
Salary $53,125–$84,995 (base salary); additional incentives and benefits may apply.
