Role Creates mortgage loan opportunities and generates loans for current and prospective members, building relationships with all parties involved.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
Review and evaluate mortgage loan documents to ensure compliance with credit union and government standards.
Generate mortgage loan business through realtor relationships and development activities.
Assemble and organize loan file documents, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
Stay informed on market trends affecting mortgage lending.
Ensure compliance with regulatory programs (BSA, OFAC, CIPS).
Assist other department personnel and perform additional duties as assigned.
Performance Measurements
Achieve assigned loan volume and quality standards.
Originate loans on time and in compliance with regulations.
Maintain constant communication with all parties throughout the loan process.
Complete required BSA/AML and Red Flags training.
Meet SAFE Act registration requirements.
Requirements
3–5 years of similar experience.
Associate degree or equivalent specialized training.
In‑depth knowledge of secondary market and residential mortgage lending.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and a 10‑key calculator.
Physical & Work Environment
Regular use of hands, speaking and hearing; may stand, sit, walk and move objects up to 20 lbs.
Remote or hybrid work eligible.
