Sr. Business Ops Manager - ASIC, Amazon Leo Amazon Leo is Amazon’s low Earth orbit satellite broadband network. Export Control Requirement:

Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Responsibilities

Develop product cost models for ASICs, including wafer, bump, assembly, test, and yield components.

Create and manage 3-5 year cost roadmaps in collaboration with internal stakeholders, detailing component-level improvements.

Establish and monitor yield roadmaps across all production stages (wafer, bump, assembly, test).

Support business cases for Node migrations, Dual‑sourcing initiatives, Reshoring projects, and Capacity reservation decisions.

Conduct Monte Carlo simulations and sensitivity analyses for Yield optimization, Utilization rates, Pricing strategies, and Supply risk assessment.

Deep semiconductor cost modeling experience and understanding of wafer fabrication, process nodes, mask costs, yields, die size scaling, and OSAT economics.

Communicate complex technical‑financial tradeoffs to executives.

Expertise in advanced Excel, Python, Tableau/Power BI, and Statistical Modeling.

Experience with Agentic AI is a plus.

Basic Qualifications

5+ years of working directly with engineering teams.

Experience managing programs across cross‑functional teams, building processes, and coordinating release schedules.

Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, engineering, finance, or related technical or quantitative field.

5+ years of experience in sourcing or related disciplines specific to Foundry, Semiconductor Final Assembly, Testing, and Packing business with CM/JDM/ODM/OSAT in high‑technology industry.

5+ years of direct experience in technology procurement, commodity management, contract negotiation, category sourcing or related supply‑chain experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Manage a high volume of requests and competing deadlines.

Master’s degree in engineering or related field and 10+ years experience in engineering, sourcing, supply chain, and operations.

10+ years experience in the semiconductor industry.

Technical acumen in Foundry and Semiconductor packaging, final assembly, and manufacturing test with ability to connect to related business matters such as cost, manufacturing cycle time, and yields.

Experience in supplier evaluation/selection, should‑cost models, negotiate MVA, NRE, and CAPEX to ensure best‑in‑class cost for our products.

Experience with bill of material configuration management for consumer electronics, semiconductor, and final assembly.

Excellent creative thinking skills with emphasis on developing innovative solutions to solve complex problems that may not have one clear answer.

Experience leading agreement negotiations for complex, mission‑critical technology supplier deals.
