Starting pay $26.00/hr. We also offer night shift differential of $1 per hour.

Dakota Women's Correctional and Rehabilitation Center is currently seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Captain. As a Captain, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the safety and security of our facility while also providing guidance and support to those in our care.
Job Responsibilities: Oversee the security operations in the designated functional area during each shift. Monitor activities, movements, and transportation, and ensure accurate headcounts are conducted.
Possess knowledge of supervisory principles and practices, as well as the facility's policies, procedures, and work rules. Understand reporting requirements, DWCRC staffing priorities, and appropriate emergency planning and crisis response procedures.
Maintain inmate discipline, prevent escapes, and ensure the personal safety of inmates, staff, and visitors.
Supervise, assign tasks, review and evaluate the work of Correctional Officers, and provide ongoing training. Ensure that all Correctional Officers fulfill their assigned duties effectively.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED
Previous experience in a correctional facility is preferred but not required. All training provided
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to remain calm and composed in high-stress situations
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow policy and procedures accurately
Must pass a background check and drug screening
