This position is located at the SC Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) - Office of Mental Health, Orangeburg Area Mental Health Center (MHC) 2319 St. Matthews Road Orangeburg SC 29118. Under limited supervision, this position will provide advanced mental health services to inmates of Orangeburg County Detention Center and patients of Orangeburg Area Mental Health Center. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive and advanced mental health services to inmates of Orangeburg Area MHC as an embedded clinician.

Provide advanced level crisis management services in accordance with Center policies and procedures. Complete and submit clinical documentation that is clear, concise and focuses on client driven care.

Complete documentation of pertinent clinical/other information in accordance with QA/QI standards, policies and procedures.

Adhere to Center, DMH and State OMH and State Corporate Compliance policies, procedures and regulations.

Perform the functions of a Center Mental Health Treatment Provider in an efficient manner. Attend to daily schedule of client appointments, ensure clients are seen as often as needed, and address with client barriers to seeking services at OAMHC.

Participate in activities promoting ongoing professional development and training.

A bachelor\'s degree in guidance, counseling, or the social sciences and professional experience in human services or social services programs.

Must be able to stand, walk, reach, pull, bend, climb stairs, move from one area to another and lift 20 lbs.

Post hire, employee must:

Qualify to render services applicable to position per credentialing and privileging standards and with concurrence by OMH Office of Quality Management.

Have considerable knowledge of the techniques of interviewing, counseling and guidance.

Be able to establish rapport with the patients and establish and maintain effective working relationships with agencies, organizations and other community partners.

Be able to perform services in the community.
