Sr Full Stack Developer (Angular + Node) - VS47718
Why this role
Help design, build, and scale the company's platform using Angular on the front end and Node on the back end.
You will shape features end to end, mentor developers, and bring modern delivery practices that keep quality high and lead time low.
You will work closely with Product to define solutions that perform in complex, highly regulated customer environments.
Responsibilities
Design and implement modular, testable, and scalable components for the Fusion platform using Angular, Node, and TypeScript.
Collaborate with Product Management in discovery, scoping, and technical design.
Lead by example in code quality, perform code reviews, refactor where it pays down risk or unlocks speed.
Optimise performance across API and UI, with a focus on measurable outcomes.
Contribute to deployment, monitoring, debugging, and test practices for Angular applications.
Estimate work, communicate risks early, and keep stakeholders updated.
Coach teammates on Angular and Node fundamentals, patterns, and pragmatic engineering principles.
Qualifications
5+ years professional experience delivering production web applications, including 3+ years with Angular and strong Node expertise.
Deep understanding of TypeScript, component architecture, RxJS patterns, and state management.
Strong Node fundamentals, API design, error handling, observability, and performance tuning.
Comfortable working in Windows/Unix/Linux environments, and understanding of hardware architecture/private cloud infrastructures and deployment methodologies.
Proven ability to decompose problems, propose options with trade-offs, and ship maintainable solutions on time.
Comfortable working in Jira during sprint cadences; able to pick up issues, keep statuses current, write clear updates, and close the loop with concise comments and links to code and PRs.
Excellent communication skills, able to explain designs, review code constructively and write crisp tickets and documentation.
Background with Ionic, mobile UI frameworks, MongoDB and other non-relational stores is a plus.
Additional Bonuses
Hands‑on use of Cursor or similar AI pair‑programming tools.
Design clear prompts, review suggestions critically and use AI for refactors, tests, and boilerplate while keeping quality and security high.
Experience optimising Angular builds and runtime performance at scale.
Experience with regulated domains such as telco or utilities.
How we work
Collaborative delivery with Product and Customer Experience teams from design workshops to release reviews.
Pragmatic engineering – we value clear interfaces, maintainable code, and measurable outcomes over novelty.
Continuous improvement mindset – help refine our practices and tooling as we grow.
