Our core business, producing plastic resins and petrochemicals, takes place at three wholly-owned chemical manufacturing subsidiaries located in Delaware City, Delaware, Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Point Comfort, Texas.

SUMMARY Operates the VCM Production unit to meet production, quality, safety and environmental standards by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Monitors process variables and makes adjustments to operate within the parameters as established in standard operating procedures and log sheets.

Monitors rotating equipment for proper operation.

Operates manual valves.

Samples and analyzes process samples.

Operates personnel computers and the DCS (distributed control system).

Communicates plant status and abnormalities orally and through written logs.

Troubleshoots process abnormalities.

Evaluates and makes recommendations for process improvements.

Performs minor maintenance.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

– Associate of Science in Process Technology from college or technical school; or five years operations experience; or two years Vinyl Chloride operations related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
