Are you passionate about working with youth who have been through traumatic experiences? Do you possess the skills to mentor teen girls? Eagle Quest is looking for qualified individuals to work with Las Vegas' youth in order to best support them. Eagle Quest, an organization serving at-risk and/or disadvantaged youth and their families, is searching for a Youth Engagement Specialist with social work experience, the ability to work with a variety of people with diverse socio-economic background and temperaments, for a Full-Time hourly position. This is a support staff role for a treatment program in a group home setting. DUTIES
Mentoring the youth clients
Facilitating Crisis Stabilization, as well as self-care, social, and communication skills training and mentoring with clientele
Providing a safe and secure environment
Coordinating therapeutic activities with adolescents in a treatment level program (group home)
Scheduling for providers within the home
Documenting services provided for Medicaid reporting
Distributing medication to the youth clients
Assisting with client and appointment transportation
Other
REQUIREMENTS
Communication and organization skills
Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
Pass FBI and Interstate background checks at candidate's expense (reimbursable after employed)
Valid Nevada driver's license
At least one year of experience working with youth and family programs
HS Diploma at minimum
Preferred: Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Psychology, Sociology, Community Health Sciences, Health Ecology, Public Health, Social Work, Human Development, Early Childhood Education, Nursing, Speech Pathology, or Anthropology
