Gaines Investment Trust is hiring a
Roving Maintenance Technician
to support a portfolio of apartment communities in the Irving and North Dallas area. If you’re a hands‑on, adaptable professional who enjoys variety in your workday and excels in delivering high‑quality maintenance service, this is the role for you.
What You’ll Do
Travel to assigned apartment communities to provide maintenance support as needed
Complete service requests related to HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, and general repairs
Use Maintenance IQ mobile software to manage and track work orders and tasks
Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues with efficiency and accuracy
Assist with curb appeal, groundskeeping, and pool maintenance when needed
Participate in an emergency on‑call rotation and respond promptly to urgent needs
Collaborate with onsite teams to ensure excellent resident service and property upkeep
May assist with preparing apartments for new residents
What You’ll Bring
Minimum 1 year of multifamily maintenance experience
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (required)
Strong knowledge of general repairs, troubleshooting, and HVAC systems
Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and property teams
Excellent time management and communication skills
Positive attitude and a strong sense of personal accountability
HVAC and CPO certifications preferred, but not required
