Responsibilities The successful candidate will work under the strategic direction of Materials Management senior leadership. The Manager, Materials Management oversees and coordinates all activities and staff related to procurement and supply services for the hospital, including but not limited to receiving, distribution, inventory control and equipment management. Ensures compliance with national and local policies regarding internal controls for procurement, contracting, sourcing, vendor management and utilization of enterprise resources.

Position Qualifications

Minimum Education: High School graduate or GED

Minimum Experience: 5 years Materials Management operational leadership experience

Preferred Education: BS/BA in Business, Finance or related field preferred

Preferred Experience: Materials Management operational leadership experience within a multi-hospital health system environment preferred

Skills/Abilities:

Excellent organizational skills

Ability to understand and safely handle supplies and equipment

Accuracy, self-supervision, familiar with shipping company's articles and procedures

Determination of an item is acceptable upon receipt

Determination of appropriate method/mode of shipment

Management of daily activities

Management of dock / warehouse traffic

Ability to organize work efficiently

Service recovery

Software: Lawson, Outlook

Working/Environmental Conditions: Prolonged sitting, standing, and walking

Physical Demands: Lifting and carrying objects up to 50 lbs or more daily
