Job Requirements
Extensive Payments and Treasury Services / Management Expertise
- 20–25+ years of senior‑level experience in global payments, transaction banking, and/or corporate treasury, ideally at Managing Director or equivalent level within a leading bank, payment provider, or market infrastructure.
End‑to‑End Knowledge
- Deep understanding of the end‑to‑end payments and treasury lifecycle, including corporate cash management, cross‑border and correspondent banking, high‑value and instant payment schemes, FX and liquidity management, intraday liquidity, cash pooling and concentration, and treasury operations.
Strategic Track Record
- Demonstrated ability to define and lead market strategy, design new payments and treasury products and services (including digital and on‑chain offerings), and influence industry adoption.
Relationship Network
- Strong existing relationships with senior executives at major global transaction banks, payment providers, corporates, custodians, and regulators.
Regulatory and Policy Acumen
- Knowledge of key regulations and policy frameworks shaping global payments and treasury (e.g., payment services regulation, cross‑border payments guidelines, instant payment schemes) particularly in the U.S., and major European and Asian markets.
Operational Insight
- Detailed knowledge of payments and cash management infrastructure and “plumbing,” including correspondent banking flows, RTGS and instant payment systems, clearing and settlement processes, liquidity and collateral management, and reconciliation.
Communication Excellence
– Exceptional ability to craft and deliver polished, executive‑level presentations, strategy documents, and external communications.
Industry Presence
- Experience as a recognized voice in the industry through conferences, panels, interviews, or thought leadership in payments, treasury, and transaction banking.
Global Mindset
– Willingness and ability to travel internationally and engage with clients and regulators across global financial centers.
Collaborative Leadership
– Ability to work seamlessly with internal teams and external stakeholders to advance complex, multi‑party solutions.
Job Responsibilities
Market Strategy and Use Case Development – Define and lead the development of detailed, actionable use cases for global payments and treasury across the cash and payments lifecycle – collections, disbursements, cross‑border and high‑value payments, real‑time and instant payments, FX and liquidity management, cash concentration, virtual accounts, escrow, and on‑chain treasury solutions.
Client and Market Engagement – Drive consultative, senior‑level discussions with global market participants, including transaction and correspondent banks, custodians, payment processors, card and network providers, corporate treasurers, asset managers, stablecoin and payment‑token issuers, regulators, and market infrastructure providers (e.g., RTGS and instant payment systems).
Industry Relationships – Build and maintain trusted relationships with C‑suite executives, boards, and regulators, positioning Digital Asset as a key partner in the digital transformation of global payments, corporate cashflows, and treasury management.
Multi‑Party Solution Design – Identify the right mix of market participants for each use case and bring them together to co‑create multi‑party payments and treasury solutions on the Canton Network.
Execution Leadership – Lead discussions on the legal, regulatory, accounting, and operational aspects of market implementations – including settlement finality, funds safeguarding, AML/KYC considerations, and liquidity management—to ensure solutions are practical, compliant, and industry‑ready.
Industry Presence and Thought Leadership – Represent Digital Asset and the Canton Network at industry conferences, on panels, in podcasts, blogs, and media interviews as a credible and authoritative voice on the future of global payments, corporate treasury, and blockchain‑enabled cash management.
Executive‑Level Communication – Create polished, professional‑quality strategy papers, presentations, and client discussion materials to drive high‑impact dialogue and decision‑making.
Collaboration – Work closely with internal colleagues in Sales, Client Experience, Product, Engineering, and across Digital Asset’s subject‑matter experts to align opportunities with Canton’s technology capabilities and the broader Canton Network strategy.
