About the Role We are seeking an experienced Security Systems Foreman to lead installation teams on a variety of low‑voltage security projects, including CCTV, access control, intrusion alarms, and related security systems. This role oversees day‑to‑day field operations, ensures quality installations, coordinates with project managers, and supports technicians in the field.
The ideal candidate has strong hands‑on installation skills, can read and interpret plans, and knows how to manage crews while maintaining safety, quality, and productivity.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and supervise security installation crews on commercial and residential projects
Install, program, and troubleshoot CCTV, access control, and intrusion alarm systems
Read and interpret blueprints, risers, wiring diagrams, and scope documents
Coordinate daily tasks with the Project Manager to ensure job progress and deadlines are met
Ensure all installations meet company standards, industry best practices, and AHJ requirements
Conduct site walks to identify needs, material requirements, and potential issues
Train, mentor, and support technicians in proper installation techniques
Maintain a safe work environment and ensure adherence to OSHA and company safety protocols
Complete daily reports, track material usage, and communicate updates clearly
Interface with clients, general contractors, and other trades as needed on site
Qualifications
4+ years of experience installing security or low‑voltage systems
12 years of experience in a lead or foreman role (preferred)
Strong knowledge of CCTV, access control, card readers, maglocks, door hardware integration, intrusion alarms, cabling, and terminations
Ability to supervise crews, delegate tasks, and maintain project momentum
Ability to read blueprints and understand construction plans
Familiar with low‑voltage codes, NEC, and local AHJ requirements
Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
Good communication and leadership abilities
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
