The City seeks a part-time

Data & Performance Analyst

to strengthen how we measure, evaluate, and communicate the impact of our economic and cultural development work. This role will design dashboards, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and provide actionable insights that help Bellevue improve decision‑making, demonstrate accountability, and showcase results to the community.

This position will work up to 25 hours per week and report to the Business Development Manager, tracking results for the entire Cultural & Economic Development Division.

Data Collection & Analysis

Collect, analyze, and report on data related to economic performance, business activity, and visitor activity.

Assist the team in defining goals, outcomes, and benchmarks for division initiatives and programs.

Work with the City’s Business Intelligence team to align with organizational methodologies for tracking KPIs.

Work with division management to develop and deploy next generation surveys, data collection tools, and customer feedback analysis.

Work with others on economic analysis of major initiatives and programs.

Identify emerging trends in the local, national, and international economic activity to inform strategic planning.

Performance Measurement & Reporting

Work with division management to design and maintain performance dashboards for multiple audiences.

Translate complex data into clear, actionable reports and presentations for the team and multiple stakeholders.

Use performance data to recommend improvements to systems, processes, and customer engagement.

Work with division managers to lead data‑informed, post‑project retrospectives that help improve future performance.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Support

Partner with Visit Bellevue, Bellevue Downtown Association, and others to collect industry‑relevant metrics.

Support grant and funding applications with strong data‑driven evidence.

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Data Analytics, Statistics, or related field preferred.

2+ years of experience in data analysis, performance measurement, or program evaluation, with 3+ years preferred. Sales, business development, and related experience a plus.

Skills & Abilities

Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, Tableau, Power BI, or similar).

Strong statistical, economic, and evaluation methods knowledge.

Ability to clearly communicate data findings to non‑technical audiences.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.

Familiarity with high performance measurement frameworks and KPI reporting preferred.

Flexible/Hybrid Working A hybrid work schedule is available for this position following an orientation period working in the office after hire. Remote work for this position is subject to the department’s operational needs and will be discussed with candidates during the selection process. Full‑time remote work is not an available option. Once hired, employees must reside in the State of Washington and within reasonable commuting distance to Bellevue City Hall.

Hours may vary from week to week and are anticipated to be 28 hours per week or less

NOTE : Will be considered full‑time and eligible for medical coverage if hours average 30 hours per week or more over a 12‑month measurement period (or 130 hours per month)
