Company Description: Cheshire House is a 75-bed, family-owned skilled nursing facility in Waterbury, Connecticut specializing in short-term rehabilitation and long-term care. We are currently hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Come join our team!
Responsibilities
Chart nurses’ notes in an informative and descriptive manner that reflects the care provided to the resident, as well as the resident’s response to the care.
Complete and file required recordkeeping forms/charts upon the resident’s admission, transfer, and/or discharge.
Prepare and administer medications as ordered by the physician.
Ensure that your assigned certified nursing assistants (CNAs) are aware of the resident care plans and that the CNAs refer to the resident's care plan prior to administering daily care to the resident.
Requirements
Must possess, as a minimum, a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university and be a graduate of a Connecticut approved RN/LPN program.
Be able to speak and write the English language in an understandable manner.
Be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 40 pounds to a minimum height of 3 feet and be able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 4 feet.
