Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Part Time – Sewickley, PA
Verland is currently seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our Main Campus in Sewickley, PA. In this role, you will provide Exceptional Care to individuals that call Verland their home.
Shift Availability Part Time – 24 hours per week, 6 am – 6:30 pm (Saturday & Sunday).
Responsibilities
Administer and document prescribed medications and treatments.
Assess the physical status of individuals daily and report any unusual behavior or condition to the Charge Nurse.
Assist with physician visits as assigned.
Document care given to individuals on a daily, quarterly, and annual basis.
Develop and implement health care plans for assigned individuals as a member of the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) and attend staffing and ITR reviews.
Participate in and attend Nursing Department committee meetings as assigned.
LPN will not insert nasogastric tubes or obtain physicians' orders.
Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements
Must possess a working knowledge of professional standards and current nursing trends.
Must have the ability to comprehend individuals' records and physicians' orders and to communicate information effectively.
Must be able to establish working relationships with other members of the IDT.
Must be able to document individuals' care in a comprehensive manner according to professional and legal standards.
Minimum Training and Experience
Graduate of a recognized one-year practical nurse program and hold a current Pennsylvania registration.
At least one year of experience in an acute care facility or related field (rehabilitation, extended care facility).
All required clearances and valid driver's license.
