Certified Nursing Assistant – California State Prison, Sacramento Position: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), part‑time, 24 hours per week, at California Correctional Health Care Services (CCHCS). Location: California State Prison – Sacramento (SAC), Represa, CA, Sacramento County.

Pay and Benefits

Monthly salary: $2,904 (part‑time 24 hrs).

Part‑time position, entry‑level seniority.

Eligible for additional pay benefits per Section 5, Hiring‑Above‑Minimum (HAM) Authorization of the California State Civil Service Pay Scales.

Job Description & Duties Under the supervision of the Supervising Registered Nurse (SRN) II/III and the clinical direction of the RN, the CNA performs patient care activities and related non‑professional health care activities for patients in a variety of treatment facilities and health‑care settings. Responsibilities include:

Assisting patients with physical care and activities of daily living.

Ensuring patient safety and suicide watch, including suicide precaution and restraint monitoring.

Addressing ongoing patient needs and promoting efficient, appropriate, and cost‑effective use of health‑care resources.

Minimum Qualifications

Valid Nursing Assistant Certificate issued by the California Department of Public Health.

Must pass the California State Department of Public Health nursing assistant exam.

Ability to work in a correctional health‑care environment.
