Burn Trauma ICU Registered Nurse at Medical City Plano provides bedside, critical care for burn and reconstructive patients. The RN collaborates with multidisciplinary teams, advocates for families, and delivers evidence‑based, compassionate care in a high‑volume, Level I Trauma and Burn Center. Responsibilities
Assess, perform, teach, and manage patient care using the RN model and support the critical burn ICU workflow. Document nursing administration in the electronic medical record in a timely and thorough manner. Educate patients, families, and caregivers about medical condition, treatment plan, medication, and follow‑up measures, translating complex terminology into plain language. Teach lifestyle changes and future selfmanagement to promote recovery and long‑term wellness. Coordinate, evaluate, and deliver holistic treatment plans that promote patient recovery and meet quality measures. Qualifications
Registered Nurse (RN) with state licensure. Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN). Advanced Degree accepted if RN credit accepted. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 30 days of start date. Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 30 days of start date. Paediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification within 30 days of start date. Benefits
