Central Maine Healthcare is seeking a Phlebotomist to join the Central Maine Medical Center Pathology team.
This is a part‑time, 24‑hour per week position that is benefit eligible.
Compensation Sign on bonus: $3,000.
Hourly rate: $20.50 per hour starting, increasing with experience.
Responsibilities
Assist in procurement and processing of biological specimens from patients for laboratory analysis.
Perform supportive tasks for maintenance of related records and facilities.
Work independently, organizing tasks to meet deadlines and accept direction from supervisory and technical staff.
Collect and prepare specimens with efficiency and accuracy to ensure timely reporting of results used in diagnosis and treatment.
Regulatory Requirements
Phlebotomy training or experience required; certification preferred.
American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS preferred.
High school diploma with strong background in biology and chemistry.
Qualifications
Able to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
Strong written and verbal skills.
Additional languages preferred.
Basic computer knowledge.
Ability to engage patients and team members utilizing the CMH Experience Standards, including being respectful, honest, and serving as a role model.
Demonstrated ability to direct and triage in a highly fluid operational environment.
Ability to collaborate with all layers of the management and administration team.
