Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is hiring a RN Unit Coordinator for the Medicine/Step Down Unit (10K) in Norfolk, VA. This is a full-time (FT) position on the First (Days) shift, 7a-7p, 36 hours per week. Job Details

Facility/Unit: Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, a 569-bed tertiary care facility, home to the area’s only Level I Trauma Center and burn trauma unit. Unit: 10K – a 24-bed step-down unit. Patient population includes cardiac, cardiac prep, renal failure, vascular, sepsis, pneumonia, sickle cell, OR-Prep, and diverse wound care. Responsibilities

Demonstrate proficiency in nursing practice for the assigned specialty area and provide clinical leadership for the delivery of nursing care in the department. Under the direction of the department manager, lead safety and quality initiatives, optimize workflow, and contribute to staff development. Increase staff satisfaction and promote excellent (Gold Standard) customer service. Qualifications

Education: BSN or higher required Licenses/Certifications: Virginia or compact multistate RN license in good standing; BLS Experience: Minimum of 18 months RN experience in a hospital setting required; Med/Surg, Stepdown or IMC experience preferred Additional Information
