Job Summary Under general supervision, plan and implement therapeutic and counseling services for assigned Grafton students. Assess cognitive, behavioral, social, and emotional needs, develop therapeutic goals and objectives, and report to a Clinical Administrator.
Responsibilities
Provide individual and group therapy sessions for assigned students.
Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine students’ abilities and needs, develop therapeutic goals, treatment plans, and IEP objectives.
Create therapy plans, activities, and experiences addressing identified goals; prepare materials for sessions.
Collect and record behavioral and progress data; evaluate achievements; document progress in reports.
Consult with supervisors, academic peers, and staff on treatment plans; coordinate instructional formats and management procedures.
Serve as advocate for students; co‑design and support implementation of transition plans.
Review admissions packets and participate in pre‑placement interviews.
Obtain necessary supplies and equipment.
Implement crisis intervention strategies and document incidents; serve as on‑call therapist.
Maintain communication with parents, guardians, and agencies regarding progress and plans.
Attend meetings and committees such as IEP meetings and staff meetings.
Provide training to Grafton staff as requested.
Additional Job Functions
Contribute to policy and procedure designs.
Attend conferences and workshops to stay current with professional trends.
Perform other assigned duties.
Minimum Training and Experience
Master’s degree in counseling, social work, or psychology.
Clinical experience providing counseling services and therapy.
Licensure as a Resident in Psychology (LCP path), Resident in Counseling (LPC or LMFT path), or Resident in Clinical Social Work (LCSW path) if working in Virginia.
Clinical Supervision Forms must be submitted during onboarding.
Valid driver’s license.
Compensation $73,424 to $87,110.40; commensurate with experience and qualifications.
