Summary
The Warehouse Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing all the warehouse operations, including inventory management, shipping and receiving, quality control (QC), and maintenance activities. This role ensures efficient workflow, compliance with safety standards, and timely delivery of goods to KaGa while supervising QC and maintenance team members.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities (To perform within this position successfully, the incumbent must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.)
Warehouse Operations Management
Plan, organize, and monitor the storage and distribution of materials.
Make all areas of the logistics process
Ensure accurate inventory control and timely order fulfillment.
Optimize space utilization and implement best practices for warehouse layout.
If a major issue arises on the production line that can affect KaGa, Manager may need to report to MIW regardless of their scheduled shift
Calculate the number of workers, equipment and each cost as needed as production changes
Customer audit / countermeasure responses
Communication with customer (KaGa) about logistics, production schedule, claims, conditions and all cooperation
Develop and implement continuous improvement ideas
Ensure that proper FIFO protocols
Responsible for maintaining logistics equipment (forklifts, dock leveler, battery charger, conveyor and trailers)
Team Leadership
Supervise and coordinate QC and maintenance teams to ensure operational efficiency.
Monitor LeeHwa operation and report any issues in teams chat as soon as issue arises
Provide training, guidance, and performance evaluations for team members.
Foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
Quality Control & Maintenance Oversight
Ensure QC team adheres to inspection standards for incoming and outgoing goods.
Monitor maintenance schedules for equipment and warehouse infrastructure.
Address and resolve operational issues promptly.
Reporting & Documentation
Prepare and submit the following reports:
Daily Inventory Report (stock levels, discrepancies)
Inbound/Outbound Shipment Report
QC Inspection Report (defects, corrective actions)
Maintenance Activity Report (equipment status, repairs completed)
Conveyor Trailer Inspections and Repairs
Monthly KPI Report (on-time delivery, cost savings, productivity metrics)
Maintain accurate records for audits and compliance.
Coordination & Communication
Liaise with procurement, production, and transportation teams to align schedules.
Communicate effectively with vendors and carriers to resolve logistics issues.
Accurate reporting in team's chat
Basic Qualifications (The requirements listed below represent the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required and preferred for this position.)
Preferred Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or equivalent industry-specific experience required
5 years (or eight years for a manager) of experience in Just in time management field in the Automotive industry
Working experience with GM/Ford/Stellates/Hyundai/Kia/ Mobis/Glovis
Experienced in the automotive logistics field
Knowledge of safety regulations and quality standards.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Strong sense of responsibility
Detailed knowledge of Just in time processes and systems in the Automotive industry
SAP (ERP) and MES experience
Solid Accounting/Finance/Mathematical skills
Detailed knowledge of logistics, package design
Detailed knowledge of stock control skills
Experienced in Plant set up
Comprehensive problem-solving skills across the plant
Excellent Leadership skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
Working Conditions
Office setting, some walking and standing within and between buildings.
