About the Role The M&A Integration Operations Manager is a hands‑on, execution‑focused role responsible for driving the successful integration of newly acquired businesses into our organization. This role goes beyond planning and coordination — it requires someone who can roll up their sleeves, step into ambiguity, and do the work needed to move integrations forward.
You will partner closely with leaders across Product, Technology, Operations, Finance, and the acquired company to translate high‑level integration plans into real, functioning systems and processes. When gaps arise, priorities shift, or ownership is unclear, you step in and keep things moving.
This is not a passive project management role. It’s for someone who thrives in dynamic environments, enjoys solving complex problems, and takes pride in execution.
What You’ll Do Integration Execution & Owner
Lead the end‑to‑end execution of post‑acquisition integrations, from close through stabilization. Translate integration plans into actionable tasks and personally drive work forward when resources or clarity are limited.
Identify gaps in ownership, process, or systems and proactively resolve them to maintain momentum.
Ensure integrations move forward even in ambiguous or evolving environments.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Operations, Finance, and HR to align teams and execute integration workstreams.
Act as a central point of accountability across internal teams and acquired companies.
Build trust with acquired company leadership and team members through hands‑on support and clear communication.
Technology & Process Integration
Support and execute the integration of technology platforms, including system configuration, data validation, workflow alignment, and issue resolution.
Work directly within tools and systems to ensure processes function as intended post‑integration.
Document workflows, dependencies, and operational handoffs to ensure long‑term sustainability.
Identify risks early and take action to mitigate operational, technical, or people‑related issues.
Develop practical solutions when standard processes do not yet exist.
Escalate issues when needed, with clear recommendations and options.
Reporting & Communication
Provide clear, concise updates to leadership on progress, risks, and next steps.
Prepare materials for executive and steering committee discussions.
Maintain visibility into timelines, deliverables, and outcomes without over‑bureaucratizing the process.
What Success Looks Like
Integrations progress smoothly despite ambiguity or shifting priorities.
Teams feel supported and unblocked rather than slowed down.
Systems, workflows, and processes function reliably post‑integration.
Leaders trust you to “just handle it” and make smart decisions independently.
Acquired teams feel confident and supported during transition.
What We’re Looking For
6–10 years of experience in operations, integration, implementation, or project‑based roles where you were responsible for execution—not just coordination.
Demonstrated experience working in complex, fast‑moving environments (e.g., M&A integration, platform implementation, operations transformation).
Proven ability to work independently, make decisions, and drive outcomes with limited direction.
Strong problem‑solving skills with a bias toward action.
Comfort working directly in systems, tools, and processes (CRM, ERP, internal platforms, or similar).
Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally.
Willingness to travel 25–50% to support on‑site integration work.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Engineering, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Seniority Level Mid‑Senior level
Employment Type Full‑time
Job Function Project Management and Finance
