Penske Logistics
Position Summary
This position performs all processes related to material follow up. Provides visibility to management by tracking, processing, auditing, researching and troubleshooting issues specific to material follow up. Manages material flow from suppliers through to the parts distribution centers. Refers to operational standards and processes to make decisions impacting supplier ship dates and overall customer requirements. Interacts and owns relationship with suppliers on behalf of the customer to ensure parts are shipped on time.

Shift Monday thru Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm
Major Responsibilities
Monitor suppliers and perform follow up on parts to ensure shipment deadlines are met.
Timely and accurately communicate and document critical information to internal associates and the customers.
Push suppliers for promise dates and promise quantities.
Hold them accountable to meet these dates and quantities.
Ensure proper escalation is performed when supplier is not meeting ship dates.
Partner with team to communicate and drive performance standards.
Identify continuous improvement areas.
Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications
Bilingual (English & Spanish)
High School diploma or equivalent required
1 year of Transportation Management experience preferred, with a focus on shipment coordination
Must also be able to learn and regularly operate multiple company and customer transportation management and inventory systems.
Independent worker with customer service skills, multi-tasking, organizational, teamwork, flexibility, verbal and written communication, numeracy and time management, problem-solving.
Advanced computer skills including Excel and Outlook required
Experience using office tools such as MS Office or Google Suite
Ability to work in non-climate controlled conditions required
Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
Willingness to travel as necessary, work the hours necessary to accomplish the job duties, work at the specific location required, complete employment application, submit to a background investigation and drug screening.
Physical Requirements
Read, communicate verbally and/or in written form; remember and analyze information; understand instructions.
Stand, walk, sit; use hands to touch, handle, feel, reach with hands and arms; occasionally lift up to 25 lbs/12 kg.
Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
