RESPONSIBILITIES
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Business Intelligence Engineer in Miramar, FL.
Purpose A Business Intelligence Engineer requires strong business and technical skills. This position must be comfortable designing and implementing efficient data pipelines and development and maintenance of data warehouse solutions. This position should also be able to demonstrate professional proficiencies in data architecture, data pipeline development, data mining, and data modeling. This includes data modeling, data matching, and data integrity practices. Excellent communication skills and working as part of an integrated Business Intelligence team are critical. This role will also provide training for new and existing BI team members on new technologies and the development and maintenance of data pipelines, models, and database warehouse solutions. You must also be comfortable in designing and implementing data collection, cleansing, and analysis systems.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Specify, design, build, and support data warehousing and other BI reporting and data storage solutions
Design and maintain data models used for reporting and analytics
Monitors and tunes BI tools to ensure optimal efficiencies and performance metrics
Supports upgrades, configuration, and troubleshooting for various Business Intelligence tools
REQUIREMENTS
Four-year secondary degree required in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, Mathematics, or other related field is preferred, however, an equivalent combination of education and relevant knowledge or experience may be considered
5-7 years of experience required in any combination of the following: MS Azure suite of data reporting and integration, database development, reporting or analytics in an enterprise environment, Microsoft SQL coding language, Oracle database experience, or the development and maintenance of analytics reporting in an enterprise environment; Equivalence may be considered for verified coursework studies, but experience is preferred
Professional experience with all relevant BI ETL tools and processes
Professional knowledge of finance and banking industries, including knowledge of loan and deposit products
Professional proficiency with version control and relational database development and maintenance
Professional proficiency in ETL/ELT, SQL Server, SSMS, SSRS, SSIS, and Oracle IDE environments
Professional proficiency in Microsoft Azure enterprise environment, including MS Azure Data Factory, MS Azure Data Bricks, and MS Azure Synapse
Professional proficiency in MS Visual Studio
Comfortable making decisions and leading the BI team on an as‑needed basis
Excellent communication skills, including verbal and written, as well as presentation skills to executive leadership
Above average ability to work independently, as well as in a collaborative manner with internal business unit team members
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
