Position Overview The Inventory Planner is responsible for managing and optimizing inventory levels to support sales demand while minimizing excess inventory and obsolescence. This role focuses on Wholesale and Amazon 1P (Vendor Central) businesses and supports seasonal assortments, forecasting, replenishment, and order execution. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, advanced in Excel, and experienced managing large SKU counts across multiple categories and channels.
Key Responsibilities Inventory Planning & Forecasting
Develop and maintain SKU-level demand forecasts for Wholesale and Amazon 1P channels
Partner with Sales, Operations, and Production to align demand and supply plans
Monitor sell-through, open-to-buy (OTB), and weeks-of-supply metrics
Adjust forecasts based on business trends, customer orders, and inventory constraints
Amazon 1P (Vendor Central)
Manage Vendor Central forecasts, replenishment POs, and chargeback prevention
Analyze Amazon demand signals including forecasts, PO trends, instock rates, and fill rates
Collaborate with the eCommerce team to ensure product availability and optimize performance
Wholesale Account Support
Partner with Account Managers to forecast inventory for key wholesale accounts and seasonal buys
Ensure timely allocation of inventory to wholesale orders and replenishments
Communicate risks related to delays, shortages, or excess inventory to internal teams
Data Analysis & Reporting
Build and maintain inventory tracking tools, dashboards, and KPI reports
Analyze historical trends to identify risks and opportunities
Present inventory insights related to aging, availability, and replenishment needs
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with Production, Logistics, and Finance to align inventory targets and cash flow
Partner with Sales, Merchandising, and Marketing on new launches and end-of-season strategies
Qualfications & Skills Required
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field
3–5 years of experience in inventory planning, allocation, or demand planning
Advanced Excel proficiency (pivot tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, complex formulas, data modeling)
Experience managing large SKU assortments across multiple sales channels
Working knowledge of Amazon Vendor Central (1P) and wholesale order systems
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Preferred
Experience with ERP or planning systems (Exenta a plus)
Familiarity with BI or data visualization tools
Understanding of apparel or consumer product lifecycles, seasonal planning, and replenishment models
