Compensation
$17.87 - $24.50 per hour. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation includes annual, quarterly performance bonuses or premiums which may range per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
Job Description Deliver parts and/or products to O’Reilly stores and the distribution center in a safe and efficient manner. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
Essential Job Functions
Drive the company vehicle to deliver parts and products to stores and/or the distribution center.
Have a legal state driver’s license and meet company mandated driving eligibility requirements.
Pick up and sign for stock transfers at each stop on the set route, delivering to the appropriate store.
Maintain a daily city route manifest for deliveries.
Keep fleet/fuel card, vehicle, and keys secure; be familiar with accident report guidelines.
Ensure a designated team member at each store verifies all invoices and signs the route manifest.
Deliveries must be made according to the set schedule, and any delays reported to the city delivery supervisor or remaining stores on the route.
Project a professional and personable image to maintain good customer relations.
Communicate any problems or special needs from stores to store management.
Clock in and out according to company policy.
Check fluid levels (oil, radiator, transmission, etc.) and log mileage prior to operating the vehicle each day.
Report vehicle maintenance needs immediately; ensure the fuel tank is filled, lock, and secure the vehicle at the end of the day’s business.
Drive safely and defensively.
Skills / Education / Knowledge / Experience / Abilities
Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
Good interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to changing delivery situations.
Driving record must meet the standard set in the company’s 14/18-point record system.
Fluency in multiple languages is desired; Spanish is highly desired.
