Job Title: Assistant Store Leader (Manager)

Primary Purpose: The successful individual will leverage their proficiency in retail to support store leadership, drive sales, and develop team performance to meet business goals. Responsibilities Client & Service Expert:

Develop business-driving initiatives that build repeat business or attract new customers. Communicate and achieve store productivity targets including sales per hour, ADT, UPT, and capture rate. Ensure all associates and leadership complete the sales training program and develop strong product knowledge across all categories. Model and supervise the selling environment and provide coaching on the sales training process to ensure the highest level of customer service and sales.

Leadership Presence / Steward of Talent:

Assist Store Manager with achieving financial success through improvements in measurable results. Assume Store Manager responsibilities in the manager's absence. Lead by example with personal sales goals. Educate the team on sales plans, personal goals, measurable stats, and coach to maximize business. Network in the community to fill open positions efficiently with minimal business impact. Conduct ongoing review and assessment of employee performance.

Building Brand Equity:

Communicate the Kate Spade New York brand aesthetic, philosophy, and lifestyle to the sales team and customers. Ensure brand and operating standards, visual merchandising directives, and store presentation are maintained. Report merchandise sell-through, stock position, business trends, product issues, and customer feedback to the Store Manager to increase service and sales.

Operational Excellence:

Perform and supervise store opening/closing procedures, including counting funds, deposits, and securing the facility. Assist with payroll budgeting through scheduling adjustments. Follow company policies on loss prevention to protect inventory and assets. Accurately manage the processing of all POS transactions to maintain inventory integrity.

Qualifications Professional sales development and exceptional interpersonal skills

Strong leadership with the ability to communicate across all levels

Ability to analyze selling reports, identify trends, and respond quickly

Comfortable making decisions and mediating conflict in a team environment

Proficient in Windows-based software (Excel, Word, Outlook)

Minimum 3 years management experience in a comparable retail environment

College degree preferred; prior luxury goods experience preferred

Physical Requirements:

Available to work store schedule including evenings and weekends; standing for extended periods; able to lift up to 40 pounds; comfortable climbing ladders.
