We are seeking a detail‑oriented

Strategic Buyer

to support high-volume manufacturing. This role will focus on the strategic development of assigned material category (plan to strategy) and maximize the competition among global third party suppliers in source to contract, it will be supporting operational procurement and collaborate across business functions.

To succeed in this role, you will be highly driven to:

Drive YoY savings while ensuring continuity of supply.

Develop global category strategy, including cost analysis, market insights, and feasibility studies.

Oversee strategy implementation and track progress of initiatives.

Prepare demand control and forecasting for assigned categories.

Collaborate with business functions on product specifications and project management.

Select suppliers and negotiate contracts considering TCO, target pricing, and delivery metrics.

Engage in supplier lifecycle management, including development and performance.

Support global customer relationship management with key suppliers.

Skills and experience to thrive in this role:

6+ years of experience in sourcing or supplier management.

Minimum 2 years of experience in international/global sourcing.

Strong commercial and technical knowledge of the category.

Ability to analyze supplier landscapes, cost structures, and market trends.

High independence and analytical capability to design sourcing strategies.

Strong interpersonal skills for stakeholder management across regions.

Degree in Business or Engineering (Master’s preferred).

Strong English communication skills (C level).

Compensation and benefits

HARTING's Total Compensation Structure includes a Base Salary and Bonus Percentage.

Competitive base salary: $60,000 - $70,000 (commensurate with experience, subject to change dependent on physical location).

This role is eligible for a 5% discretionary annual bonus.

21 days PTO (Paid Time Off) to start – quickly earn more PTO as you stick with us (36 days max).
