HVAC Sr Field Service Technician at Honeywell
Location Woonsocket, RI or Canton, MA
Travel Requirement Up to 100%
Job Description As an HVAC Sr Field Service Technician, you will provide advanced technical support and service for HVAC systems, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Install, configure, and maintain building automation systems and equipment.
Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues to ensure system reliability.
Participate in on‑site walk‑throughs, formal commissioning, and customer demonstration/training.
Provide onsite and offsite technical support during installation, start‑up, commissioning, and turnover processes.
Oversee installation of control systems for boilers, chillers, process water systems, RTUs, air handlers, etc.
Run one‑off problems, scenarios, and integrations based on customer needs.
Develop and program graphical displays to monitor and adjust mechanical system operations.
Perform system backups and install updates and patches.
Understand and apply knowledge of virtual machines, system imaging, and networking to serve customers.
Complete required documentation for work performed or other contractual obligations.
Proper use of safety personal protection equipment.
Security and other clearances as required by customer.
Assist with design, estimating, and installation of various building automation systems.
Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of experience in HVAC service and repair.
Rhode Island Electrical License.
Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems and components.
Proficiency in using HVAC diagnostic tools and equipment.
Experience with commercial and industrial HVAC units.
We Value
Experience working on Windows Operating Systems, installation and configuration of the Windows OS.
Hands‑on experience with customer's IT team, knowledge of networking infrastructure, configuration of IP addresses and subnets.
Technical Training & Building Automation Controls Experience.
Programming more than one system (Tridium, Niagara N4, integration of 3rd‑party systems such as BACnet, LON, Modbus on chillers, boilers, etc.).
