Financial Advisor – First Command First Command has been shaping positive financial behaviors for military families since 1958. With over 165 offices nationwide, many located near military installations, we coach military families in pursuing financial security.

What Our Financial Advisors Do

They are the personal coach to military families, focusing on a constantly evolving financial plan that meets short‑term and long‑term goals.

They help military families manage day‑to‑day finances, build lifetime assets, and protect against the unexpected.

They engage with the community to bring new clients to First Command with support from local district teams and the Home Office.

They partner with local military organizations, military units, and other institutions to serve the community.

They coach families on building a comprehensive financial plan that includes:

Savings/banking

Investments/wealth management

Insurance/risk management

What We Offer

Specialized licensing and comprehensive training program designed for veterans, transitioning service members, and military spouses.

Leadership sponsorship for registration and licensing as a Financial Advisor, including SIE, S6, S63, S65, and state Life & Health licenses.

After licensing, opportunity to join a paid training program with a local district office.

Initial 3‑month paid training with an hourly wage (minimum wage) and transition to salaried position with progressive incentives for a 9‑month period.

Career development through leadership programs, classroom training, and annual workshops.

Flexible schedule and portable career across the U.S.

Opportunity to become an independent contractor Financial Advisor with First Command, controlling your career trajectory and compensation based on performance.
