Summary of Position The General Manager is responsible for the overall management and operations of the restaurant, ensuring that team members are hospitality‑focused and perform their job duties to meet expectations. The GM reports to the District Manager and supervises Assistant Managers, Shift Leaders and other team members. The GM operates the restaurant in line with the business plan and demonstrates the core values of People, Hospitality and Integrity.
Responsibilities
Recruit, hire and maintain a bench for future growth.
Execute all marketing plans, including proper installation of POP and menu board elements.
Staff the restaurant appropriately and train employees effectively.
Ensure the restaurant is open and fully operational during business hours.
Create excitement, enthusiasm and a positive mental attitude within the team.
Maintain correct inventory levels and equipment in excellent condition.
Demonstrate strong knowledge and proficiency in all phases of restaurant operations and technology.
Supervise in accordance with performance and operating policies.
Develop, motivate and manage Assistant Managers, Shift Leaders and Team Members.
Review preliminary P/Ls and liaise with the District Manager.
Adhere to HR, sanitation, safety and security policies and procedures.
Qualifications
3–5 years management experience in a quick‑service or fast‑food dining concept.
Financial and analytical aptitude including planning, budgeting, scheduling and P&L management.
Competencies
Valid driver’s license.
Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
Ability to work flexible hours and shifts.
Ability to operate and use all equipment necessary to run the restaurant.
Effective decision making under pressure with appropriate delegation.
Strong conflict resolution skills.
High sense of urgency and self‑motivation.
Excellent organizational, planning and time‑management skills.
Physical Requirements
Stand for long periods of time.
Work around high temperatures.
Work in close quarters with others.
Able to lift 50 pounds comfortably.
Use various cleaning products.
Maintain speed and quality standards at a continuous high pace.
