E-ONE manufactures custom and commercial fire trucks including pumpers and tankers, aerial ladders and platforms, rescues of all sizes, quick attack units, industrial trucks, and ARFF (aircraft rescue firefighting vehicles). Primary responsibility is to perform basic functions for custom fire and rescue vehicles utilizing power and hand tools. Rigging: Assemble and install basic accessories and hardware. Essential Functions

Must be able to ensure manufacturing, quality, and safety requirements are met. Work from schedules, manuals, wiring diagrams, shop orders, prints, pick lists, BOMs, photos, and instructions; become familiar with schematics. Identify and understand basic plumbing, electrical and mechanical components that are commonly used in assembly. Review shop orders and similar materials to determine requirements. Retrieve parts, materials, and supplies from staging location. Must be able to operate hand and power tools. Must be able to participate in LEAN and continuous improvement activities. Other Duties

Other duties may include, but are not limited to, performing or assisting with any operations as required or directed to maintain workflow or respond to production requirements. Tools and Equipment Used

Tools include but are not limited to: power tools, saws, impact wrenches, hand tools, grinders, belt sander, drill press, tape measure, templates, heat gun. Overhead crane and fabrication equipment such as punch presses. Shears and press brakes. Position Expectations

SAFETY: Follow E-ONE General Health & Safety Rules, ensure safe operating conditions within area of responsibility, notify coworkers and supervisors of hazardous acts and conditions. Proper use of PPE; use only defect-free equipment. Promote safety in department. Use proper lifting techniques and overhead hoist when needed. Maintain clean and safe working environment in line with 5-S philosophy. Participate in hazardous communication training and safety meetings. QUALITY: Responsible for the quality of work. This requires defect-free work and understanding of the requirements of the company’s quality system as it pertains to job duties and responsibilities. Check work to ensure conformance to process control instructions, specifications, and quality standards. Identify and segregate non-conforming products. Initiate and assist in corrective and preventive actions where appropriate. FLEXIBILITY: Able and willing to work in other areas as needed. Flexible with lunch and breaks when workflow requires. Willing to work additional hours as necessary. INITIATIVE: Actively participate in continuous improvement of products and processes to better serve customers and improve profitability. Seek out work in other areas when current assignment is complete. Make suggestions for improving product quality, processes, safety, and profitability. High school graduate or General Education Diploma Math and blueprint reading skills Must know basic skills in area of interest of position applying to Attention to detail Strong work ethic Must know basic computer skills Commitment to E-ONE quality standards Good problem-solving skills Be a team player Physical Requirements

Lift/Push/Pull- Exerting up to 40 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Climbing - Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like. Stooping, kneeling, crouching/crawling/reaching – various bending and movement requirements. Standing for sustained periods and walking for task mobility. Visual acuity to operate machines and perform mechanical tasks; ability to operate motor vehicles or heavy equipment.
