Manufacturing Technician I – 3:00 AM Shift

3:00 AM – 11:30 AM
Job Summary Prepare sterile and non‑sterile media and reagents for antigen production in a clean room environment. Assist in the production of antigens used in the final vaccine product and ensure operations run smoothly according to the production schedule.
Primary Responsibilities
Understand and follow Marek’s Laboratory SOPs, QA SOPs, and Universal SOPs.
Document all procedures legibly, concurrently, and accurately.
Perform clean room laboratory work with aseptic behaviors; operate all equipment for CEF preparation.
Support lab operations: disinfection of eggs, stocking, sample delivery to QC, daily temperature checks, receiving shipments, forklift operation.
Wash, assemble, and sterilize dishware, machines, and equipment; operate autoclaves and plan according to the production schedule.
Maintain inventory: manage work orders, issue items within 24–48 hrs, perform cycle counts, restock lab supplies and raw materials, use inventory software.
Prepare cleaning solutions; perform daily cleaning and deep cleaning of all areas; dispose of waste, including hazardous waste.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in a scientific field or at least 1 year of experience in a related field.
Experience in a regulated biotech or pharmaceutical industry environment.
Knowledge of aseptic behavior and attention to detail.
Ability to work outside of the set schedule as needed, including weekends or holidays.
Mathematical aptitude and compliance with regulatory agencies (USDA, OSHA, Safety).
Physical Requirements
Read, write legibly and understand English.
Stand for up to six hours; lift up to 50 lbs.
Frequent repetitions of squatting, bending, twisting, wrist and shoulder rotations.
Daily dressing and operating in clean room required garments.
