Overview Embark on a dynamic role in a leading automotive technology environment, focusing on production leadership and continuous improvement. You will drive process excellence, mentor teams, and contribute to a culture of safety, quality, and innovation.
Job Responsibilities
Direct the workflow in the production area on C Shift by managing employees and projects.
Oversee and direct production employees in a safe, quality-minded, and productive manner with a sense of urgency to attain production priorities as scheduled.
Remove obstacles to ensure that production requirements and customer demands are met.
Keep direct reports focused and on task to meet department objectives.
Ensure the daily pre‑shift meetings and other communication tools are used effectively.
Communicate with Production Manager and other plant personnel about production concerns, providing status reports as appropriate.
Follow the escalation process.
Support LMV Automotive System’s and Magna’s operating principles, including the Magna Employee Charter, Open Door Policy, C48, 5S, Safety First, quality and environmental policies, core values, and the Employee Opinion Survey.
Conduct performance evaluations tied to plant and company goals, provide regular feedback, and apply progressive discipline when necessary.
Maintain all documentation, including associate documentation.
Lead the department in the design and development of improved methods and equipment through continuous improvement and lean manufacturing principles.
May be required to adjust shifts as necessary.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities Has direct responsibility for production employees and team leaders on the assigned shift.
Qualifications Education and/or Experience
Must have a high school diploma or GED.
Prefer three years of supervisory experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Good organizational and managerial skills to attend to multiple tasks simultaneously.
Proficient in computer operations.
High integrity and honesty.
Ability to read, write, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, diagrams, requirements, and business correspondence.
Ability to effectively and appropriately present information and respond to questions from various groups.
Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts as appropriate.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to remain positive even under pressure.
Ability to calculate OA and downtime per assembly line.
Physical Demands General factory environment with occasional expectations of the employee's functional job description.
Environmental Conditions General factory environment.

Support and comply with all IATF 16949 & ISO14001 procedures and work instructions.
Support a safe and healthful work environment that is free of recognized hazards for all employees, contractors, and visitors.
Cooperate with all local, state, and federal agencies, such as OSHA or the EPA, in the event of an inspection.
