Mechanical Engineer The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for developing mechanical system design packages for gas turbine auxiliary mechanical equipment. This involves working closely with outside vendors to fabricate specified equipment and ensuring that supplied packages comply with code, contract, and schedule requirements for projects.

Responsibilities

Develop design packages for gas turbine auxiliary mechanical equipment.

Collaborate with outside vendors for equipment fabrication.

Ensure compliance with code, contract, and schedule requirements.

Oversee major systems such as Lube Oil Unit, Control Oil Unit, Compressor Blade Washing Unit, and Heat Exchangers.

Manage Fuel Gas Conditioning Equipment, GT and Auxiliary Enclosures, Enhanced Cooling Air Equipment, Fire Fighting Systems, GT Modular Enclosures, Air Intake Filter House, and Exhaust Ducts.

Ensure equipment enclosures, access platforms, and handrails are properly designed and implemented.

Essential Skills

Experience writing specifications for equipment sizing and selection.

Proficiency in mechanical design and use of AutoCAD.

Experience with one or more of the following: Heat Exchangers, Pumps, Filters, Fans, Compressors.

Knowledge in oil and gas, mechanical design, and equipment selection.

Proficient in HTRI and related software.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor Degree in Engineering required; Masters is a plus.

Minimum three years of technical experience required.

Experience in skid manufacturing, rotating or static equipment preferred.

Power plant, Japan-related or international business experience is a plus.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical documents in English.

Ability to write reports and business correspondence in English.

Proficiency in MS Office applications such as Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio, and Excel.

Beneficial language skills in Japanese, Spanish, and Portuguese.

Work Environment The Lake Mary office serves as the North American headquarters for Plant Engineering. This multi-disciplinary office includes Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Structural, Controls and project management teams, with roughly 100+ personnel. The environment is collaborative and fosters professional growth.

Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Lake Mary, FL.

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $85,000.00 - $125,000.00/yr.

Low Medical premiums.

Full relocation package (Manager said it was the best he has seen).

All PTO is received up front and at the turn of every year; there is no accrual.
