POSITION OVERVIEW FOR ELECTRICAL ESTIMATOR

Agilitech has an excellent career opportunity for an Electrical Estimator. Under the direction of the Preconstruction Director, the Electrical Estimator will possess an extensive electrical background with a proven track record in accurately estimating a wide array of projects, including Commercial, Industrial, Solar, Public Works, Oil and Gas, and Transportation. In addition to having a deep understanding of electrical systems, coupled with expertise in using Accubid estimating software, which is crucial for providing precise and competitive project bids.

Pay Range $90,000 – $135,000 Annual Salary (Exempt) - Final compensation will be tailored based on experience, skills, and overall contribution to the company.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ELECTRICAL ESTIMATOR

Prepares accurate and detailed estimates for electrical construction projects, taking into account materials, labor, equipment, and other relevant factors.

Accubid Software Proficiency : Utilize Accubid Classic or Accubid Anywhere software to streamline the estimation process and ensure precision in cost calculations.

Bid Preparation : Develop comprehensive bid proposals that include the scope of work, project timelines, and cost breakdowns, aligning with client requirements.

Collaboration : Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information and insights for accurate estimations.

Market Research : Stay informed about industry trends, material costs, and labor rates to enhance the accuracy of estimations.

Documentation : Maintain organized and detailed records of estimates, bids, and related documentation.

Client Interaction : Engage with clients to understand their needs and address any queries regarding project estimates.

Cost Control : Collaborate with project teams to assess and control costs throughout the project lifecycle.

Performs all other duties as assigned.

OCCUPATIONAL COMPETENCIES FOR THE ELECTRICAL ESTIMATOR

Able to manage small, single-discipline projects, with additional supervision as needed

Considerable knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70E, and other applicable standards and codes as they apply to industrial electrical construction

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret various reports, codes, manuals, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ELECTRICAL ESTIMATOR

Minimum of 5 years in electrical construction estimating.

Proficient in Accubid Classic or Accubid Anywhere software.

Solid understanding of electrical systems, construction methods, and industry regulations.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and external clients.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to navigate complex estimation challenges.

Keen attention to detail to ensure accuracy in estimates and bids.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.
