The Relationship Banker develops and cultivates long-term client relationships by providing insight, advice, and personalized financial solutions. Responsibilities include retaining and deepening existing client relationships through cross-selling, establishing new banking relationships, referring clients to product partners (e.g., Mortgage, Investments, Small Business, Treasury Management, Merchant Services, Private Banking, Wealth Management, Commercial), educating clients on digital solutions, providing account servicing and maintenance, resolving client servicing issues, and processing. Relationship Bankers participate in community outreach and service through community organizations. Salary Range The salary range for this position is $17.00/hr - $27.50/hr. The base salary reflects the compensation range applicable to all levels of the role across the United States. Actual offers may vary based on responsibilities, candidate skills and experience, educational qualifications, and geographic location. Key Accountabilities Develop and grow client and prospective client relationships: consult with clients to uncover needs, educate, and advise on product/service alternatives that align with financial objectives; cross-sell products and refer to business product partners; maintain contact through onboarding and service follow-up. Achieve Sales and Service Targets: market a full range of consumer and small business banking services through proactive engagement, campaigns, events, or outbound calls; maintain knowledge of products and services to meet client needs; seek coaching to develop skills and share best practices. Operations Oversight: resolve client service issues using available resources; educate clients on digital solutions; execute transactions in compliance with policies and regulatory requirements; follow fraud prevention procedures. Position Levels There are two levels of Relationship Banker, based on banking experience. Training, licensing/registrations, and performance are evaluated for advancement. Positions may be based at a specific banking center or be a Market role supporting multiple centers. Relationship Banker Handle transactions, servicing needs, and inquiries after training; achieve account opening goals, referrals, lending and credit card goals, and quality Client Financial Profiles. Qualifications and Education Requirements High School diploma or GED Equivalent Minimum one year relationship-based client consultation and/or consultative sales experience (banking industry a plus) Eligible to register with the National Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) or currently NMLS registered Relationship Banker II Experienced bankers who have completed Relationship Banker requirements or have equivalent experience; demonstrated consultative sales and service excellence; may manage a client portfolio. Engage in community service and complete the Relationship Banker Development Program. Meet or exceed account opening, lending, and referral goals; maintain client relationships.
