Consumer Loan Advisor Position Location:
Raleigh, NC. Hybrid Position, must live locally. Job Summary
The Consumer Loan Advisor meets loan fulfilment, turn-time and quality assurance goals for members and potential members who apply for consumer loan products via online, phone, mobile, and branch network channels while serving as the primary contact to facilitate their loan application experience from start to end. The role recommends appropriate consumer lending products and Credit Union services, understands their credit profile and membership performance, and answers any questions they may present. The advisor also works with underwriters, processors, branch personnel, and other departments in support of the member\'s loan application experience. Responsibilities
(45%) Uncovering and addressing member needs by clearly communicating appropriate recommendations, utilizing a comprehensive understanding and knowledge of Credit Union key objectives, products, and service solutions. Maximizing opportunities to cross sell loan products to meet origination goals and year-over-year growth goals for home equity, vehicle loans, personal loans and credit cards. (15%) Managing workflows and pipeline production to enable excellent servicing levels, responsiveness, and accessibility for direct members and potential members. (15%) Analyzing financial and credit information to recommend financial planning services, increased loan approvals, or make referrals to business partners when appropriate. (15%) Communicating approvals, counter offers, and adverse decisions to members while maintaining rapport and negotiating decision-change requests as warranted. (10%) Serving as a subject matter expert in the areas of consumer credit: vehicle loans, personal loans, and credit cards for all internal inquiries; Working in tandem with credit underwriter, branch personnel and members to structure the best loan option to fit needs to meet corporate sales and service goals. Qualifications
Experience: Six years of financial services experience including three years of consumer lending sales, origination, or processing experience of vehicle, credit card, and personal loans Experience in a role requiring meeting and/or maintaining individual turn-time goals, managing workflows, and handling production pipelines Experience reading and interpreting Credit Bureau information Education: High school diploma or GED; related bachelor\'s degree preferred Essential cognitive/physical/social requirements
Must be able to learn and retain information; resolve problems and think sequentially; remain in a stationary position; constantly operate a computer; and converse with others on a continual basis. Application
